Laser polarization control technology and its practical components' study based on liquid crystal light modulator have high theoretical and application values. This paper will have a further study on the principle of its work and develop the polarization modulation assembly after electronically controlled tunable laser polarization modulation technique preparation work, and then using AVR microcontroller driving 7536D / A converter chip, analog output for the current value by OP07 op-amp into a voltage, to control the liquid crystal beam control system to achieve precise control of the component and design simple experimental devices, and further study various control features of laser polarization.Laser polarization control by liquid crystal variable retarder (LCVR) whose phase retardation can be controlled easily by its driving voltage is described, calibrating the LCVR for 808nm wavelength with laser, acquiring the driving voltages of the left and right circularly polarized light as well as horizontal and vertical vibration linearly polarized light, controlling the laser polarization by digital or manual controller controlling its voltage. The advantages of the proposed method are insensitivity to the incident photon direction, large wavelength range without mechanical movement, and real-time control.
