Pipeline is widely used in nuclear power, gas, oil, medical etc, which is oneof important tools for transporting substance and energy. Slender pipelines arefavored by municipal engineering, power plants, petrochemical and otherindustries especially. These industries using slender pipelines for liquid delivery,which made by molding steel tube, and the length is limited (10metersgenerally).The pipelines are usually made by two or three steel tubes are weldedtogether, and then connected with other parts by flange structure in ends of it.But when two slender pipelines were girthed weld, some of un-solidified solderliquid would ooze from the weld gap. Then the weld beading would be formed inthe pipeline after solidification and the shapes and distributions are irregular.When the weld beading is cooling, it is difficult to be cleared away because ofthe higher hardness. Because of liquid flowing for long time, which will producewall accumulation phenomenon and the flow channels are more and more narrowand impede the liquid flow. Up to now, there was no effective method to solvethis problem. It is difficult to guarantee product quality and influences theenterprise benefit greatly.This paper designs a "snake" visible slender pipeline robot, introduces therobot is composed of cutting tool,fixture and motor mechanism. Put the robotinto the pipeline and reach the purpose of processing. Analyzed the stresssituation of Cutting tool of processing mechanism in when the pipeline robot isworking. Force analysis of fixture device when the fixture mechanism working,passing through the bend and force analysis of single wheel of the motormechanism when the robot moving in the pipe and the design of each parts’ drivetype and selection. The paper design a small pneumatic motor driven toolrotating structure and realize the movement of cutting tool mechanism, thecylinder makes the fixture mechanism working and the motor drive the robot moving, completed the design of control module of the robot. In this paper, allthe robot mechanical designs are done by Pro/E software and introduced themonitoring which consisted of the camera, video screen as part of the core.The "snake" visible slender pipeline robot can make the beneficial effects ofremove the weld beading exudates from the weld gap between the two slenderpipelines. So as to prevent the occurrence of oil pollution, sludge, debris andother wall stack blocking pipe. The robot not only can improve the pipelineconnection quality, but also can be widely used in pipe cutting, spraying,detection, soot, clean up the pipelines.
