The research of heterogeneous wireless sensor network have been more and more attention, and it is also one of the development directions for wireless sensor network in the future. In the deployment of heterogeneous wireless sensor network, the balance of the energy is one of the key points which affect the network performance and the Quality of Service, and it is also the first issue to be considered in the process of deployment. Due to this non-uniformity, coverage holes may exist in networks. Thus, it’s very important for detecting and repairing coverage holes of WSN. The methods of detection and re-deployment coverage holes are studied in this paper. The main research achievements are as follows:As to the practical application of wireless sensor network, the energy of the common node and the senior common node are too much different, and the consumption of the two kinds of energy is not balance in the work process, causing the waste of the residual energy of some nodes. This paper proposes a maximized lifetime network model. By calculating the energy consumption of the nod, we can get the optimal disposition proportion of the two nodes, and making full use of the residual energy of nodes. The simulation results show that this algorithm can realize balanced energy consumption of node, having higher node survival rate and longer survival time of the network. The detecting model of the sensor nodes is inevitably affected by the environment factors during the network working process, therefore the algorithm for the coverage hole detection based on the probabilistic sensing model and joint strength of coverage map based on combined coverage are proposed. In this paper, we simplify the coverage map by image binaryzation, completing the detection of the coverage hole. Enumeration algorithm is used to finish the planning of mobile node, completing the network restoration with a minimum of moving distance, and then a deployment method based on Delaunay Triangulation is applied for getting the position of alternate node. Simulation results show that the coverage rate has been efficiently improved by the proposed method.
