Passive filter has the features of simple structure, low investment andmaintenance costs, and high reliability comparison, it has been widely applied toharmonic control and reactive power compensation. It is constituted of single-tuned filters and high-pass filter and their parameter setting directly affect thefiltering effectct of the passive filter. In addition, other factors also affect them,for example: offset, reactive power compensation capacity, quality factor and soon. With the in-depth study of passive filter, it is found that different consumershave different requirements such as filter effects, cost, cost, improve voltage andreactive power compensation, filtering on different emphases device has adifferent design approach. More factors needs to be considered by designer andusing a single empirical formula has become impractical. So more people takeadvantage of the optimization algorithm to optimize the design parameters.In order to make passive filter design more convenient, combine the passivefilter design, simulation, optimization, interface design and then directly packageinto an independent software to the scene. This paper analyzes the structure andworking principle of passive filters. Using three-phase uncontrolled rectifiercircuit as a harmonic source and simulink, using the simulated harmonic data asraw data, design passive filter parameters respectively through reactive powercompensation capacity and minimum capacitance method and verify itscorrectness by simulation.Using the variety of genetic algorithms to optimize the design parameters.Using different design methods and qualification to design optimization objectivefunction with an unknown amount in the range, so a variety of standard geneticalgorithm genetic algorithm optimization procedures can be obtained. Taking thedesigned functions and ranges into the optimization algorithm and the optimizedparameters are obtained, then compare the merits of the two optimization algorithms, finally simulate the optimized parameters, verify its advantages anddisadvantages by comparing the results and unoptimized data.Using the guide module of matlab to make GUI. Make the interface has thefeatures of a call simulink simulation, simulation of the chart, interface to changethe function of filter parameters, and the interface is also able to use theminimum capacitance method and reactive power compensation capacity of themethod to calculate the filter parameters, including data input/output display.Finally, using the deployment package matlab which generate independentapplications.
