In recent years, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar has been widespread concerned by the researchers at home and abroad. MIMO uses multiple transmit antennas and multiple receive antennas to improve the degrees of design freedom, so that it has some unique advantages, such as improve the performance of angle estimation. This paper focuses on angle estimation method for multiple targets in centralized bistatic MIMO radar. The joint estimation method of direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) in different conditions is researched. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, the method for joint DOD and DOA estimation in bistatic MIMO radar in the presence of spatial Gaussian white noise is researched, including Capon algorithm, ESPRIT algorithm, propagator method and polynomial rooting algorithm, and the (?) matching method of ESPRIT algorithm and propagator method is researched. Then the method for joint estimation of DOA and DOD in bistatic MIMO radar in the presence-of spatial colored noise is researched, including MUSIC-ESPRIT algorithm base on four-order cumulant and sub array partition algorithm. The two methods can eliminate the influence of spatial colored noise by exploiting the characteristic that four order cumulants is not sensitive to the Gauss process and the covariance matrix of noises from two sub arrays is zero respectively. Finally, the method for joint estimation of DOA and DOD in bistatic MIMO radar of Coherent targets is researched. This paper focus on angle estimation base on matrix reconstruction in the presence of spatial Gaussian white noise, and angle estimation base on four-order cumulant and block Hankel matrix in the presence of spatial colored noise. Simulation results verify that the two methods above are effective.
