Spatial spectrum estimation is a principal method to estimate the direction of arrival in nowadays. In this dissertation, how to estimate multiple coherent radar signal’s direction of arrival in thecomplicated environment is studied. At first we discussed the direction finding technique based onphase-interferometer, as this method can only estimate the direction of arrival while the signal issingle. So we introduced spatial spectrum estimation algorithm. As we know the MUSIC algorithm, the Maximum likelihood algorithm and the ESPRIT algorithm are classical spatial spectrumestimation algorithms, by comparing their performance we can see, the MUSIC algorithm is the bestand meets the requirement of application. Combine the MUSIC algorithm with correlation detectionof radar signals, we propose a new MUSIC algorithm based on NULA (Non Uniform Linear Array). The new algorithm breaks the limit of picket fence effects. The experimental results show that thisnew algorithm has a higher direction-finding accuracy and a larger rang of application. As the mainassignment of this article is to estimate the angle of multiple coherent pulse radar signals, so wecombine front-rear space smooth algorithm with NULA-MUSIC algorithm and achieve our aim toestimate the angle of multiple coherent signals. In the subsequent chapters, we prove that theNULA-MUSIC algorithm can also estimate the angle of multiple coherent signals while they arebroadband signals, Far more, as the results of experiments, when the narrowband signals mingle withbroadband signals this new algorithm can estimate the angle accurately too.
