Usually, the microwave network is made in microstrip line. But as the development of the technology of modern communication and radar, the character of the big insert loss can’t meet the demand of the system. To solve the problem, in this dissertation, it is researched the possibility of making the microwave network in the suspended substrate, the way to make the microwave network and the problem that should be noticed. It is given in this dissertation a true example and another designing example that can be made. The lower insert loss character of the microwave suspended substrate network will greatly reduce the insert loss of the system and the requirement of the transmitting power. It must be widely used in the communication, radar and the other area.First, it is analyzed the composing of the insert loss in microstrip circuit. It is presented the suspended substrate transmission line to reduce the insert loss. It is researched the structure, the electric field structure and the way to achieve the structure in the reality project. It is matched the emulating transmission capability and the insert loss of two kind of transmission line. The conclusion is made that it can get the lower insert loss making the microwave network in suspended substrate than in microstrip line.Second, it is analyzed and calculated that the usually suspended substrate elements used in microwave network. These elements will include narrowband and broadband. It is presented that how to design these elements and analyzed that how to work in the microwave network.Third, it is presented the flow chart that how to make a microwave network. And the flow chart can be used in making the microwave network in other transmission line. It is described in this dissertation that something should be noticed in this flow chart.Finally, two example of suspended substrate microwave network will be presented. And the two examples are the power divider networks. One is the true project, it was made after designing and calculating. The true testing data proved that the microwave suspended substrate network can be made and correctness of the flow chart. Another is the designing example. It is the software model that can be made via designing and calculating. The calculating data getting from microwave software will be presented.
