The electronic nose system is the simulation of mammalian olfactory system, to identify or classify according to odor. The traditional electronic noses are commonly using the expensive card for data acquisition, increase the cost, and the existence of wired access high maintenance cost, extensible system defects and poor mobility, especially can’t real-time detection in harmful environment. To solve the above problems, put forward a kind of electronic nose system has8wireless data transmission based on ZigBee as the data transmission channel, make use of wireless sensor networks in a multi-channel data transmission. The system includes a monitoring node of the data acquisition, a coordinator node for organization and data aggregation of ZigBee and remote management system for data storage and processing. The system can set multiple monitoring nodes and monitor the object of several places through the network at the same time which is convenient and cost saving.The main contents are as following:(1) Reviewed and analyzed the research status of electronic nose system and wireless electronic nose system at home and abroad. According to the project requirements, choose the ZigBee technology, at the same time, choose CC2530wireless sensor chip produced by TI company as the microcontroller and RF wireless transmission module by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each module, and puts forward the overall design scheme of the system.(2) The hardware and software components of the system are designed. The hardware part including selection of the components, structure and principle of nodes,This part focuses on the design of data acquisition and processing circuit, the interface circuit, wireless communication module and its antenna. The software introduces the structure of Z-Stack plate on the transplant, CC2530data acquisition, AD conversion process and the development of the applications for the multi-channel data acquisition and transmission. Complete system debugging(3) Evaluated the communication quality of the system and then do the application test. Detect the level of grain metamorphic spoilage and fruit freshness in remote monitoring test. Analysis and pattern recognition of specific characteristics of extraction by value, achieves good recognition effect.
