As the rapid advance of mobile technology leads to more and more types ofmobile communication business, the accuracy of billing is facing with severechallenges. Dialing-test is the most direct and effective approach to verify theaccuracy of billing. Dialing-test is involved in artificial testing on spot, data logging,and comparing with billing records in BOSS database. The existing operations ofdialing-test can’t meet the demand for dependable and accurate billing to the sharpincrease in the volume of mobile business due to its shortcoming of inefficiency anderror-prone. It is necessary to design and implement a management system of mobilenetwork element dialing-test with extensive software architecture, aiming at theunited dialing-test data format and automatic comparison and statistical analyses. Thework would contribute to improving the dialing-test efficiency and to reducingartificial mistakes.According to the actual dialing-test business requirements in mobile companies,the paper firstly analyzes the function framework of the management system ofmobile network element dialing-test, and the related key technologies. On this basis,detail specific business requirements are presented by the way of classification andstructuralization. Mobile business is classified into five categories: VOICE, SMS,MMS, PRS and WLAN. Each of categories is modeled respectively in terms ofoperation elements in dialing-test, leading to a general template of dialing-test recordof workload. In addition, an universal dialing-test procedure is extracted andsummarized as four sections: dialing-test worksheet formation, worksheet collectionand upload, worksheet record comparison, and test conclusion issuance.With theabove theoretical results, the database design tool, Power designer, is applied todesign the database for the management system of mobile network elementdialing-test, and the object-oriented modeling tool, Rational Rose, is applied to designuser roles, objects, and cases in the system, resulting in data flow diagrams andbusiness flow diagrams in the system. Then the advanced SSI framework is employedin the design of system architecture. The management system is divided into fourmodules: the customization of business templates, the customization of class of testtask, the management of dialing-test worksheets, the generation of comparison results,and the management of users. After that, the application system is developed in Eclipse development platform and Java programming language. It implements thefollowing functions: the construction of business templates and worksheet templates,the input, upload and collection of worksheet, the automatic compa rison ofdialing-test records with billing records in BOSS database, the formation ofdialing-test results, and the distribution of results..The system has been operating in Hunan Mobile Company for six months. Thedetail functional testing and compatibility testing are carried out to verify that itsfunctions fit properly into the actual business needs in the mobile company. Thetesting results show that it has the features of stability, accuracy, and high degree ofautomation. The application of this system greatly improves the dialing-test efficiencyof verification staff, solving such problems as long verification period, a large numberof mistakes, and low coverage ratio in dialing-test.
