Research Of Mining Technology Based On Association Rules And Its Application In College Enrollment

Data mining is a kind of knowledge system of technology, which may find theknowledge from the vast data and it pays attention to the potential rules, through thedesign of the association rule algorithm to extract features. Association rule mining isan important area in the field of data mining, because of its successful application inthe commercial field, which makes it become one of the most mature and importantresearch content in data mining.At present, research on Application of data mining in the field of colleg es anduniversities are mainly focused on the library management, student management andteaching evaluation and so on, but in the enrollment management does not see more.But in the University, each session of the freshmen registration data after the studentadmission is useless, in this situation, if the use of data mining technology, theexisting student registration information and knowledge discovery can provide usefulhelp for the management decision-making and that becomes more and more important.In this paper, based on the association rules mining and the classic Apriori algorithm, we do study the corresponding technology,method and mining procedure, then analyze the shortcoming of the classical Aprior algorithm and compared the performances of different algorithm based on the Apriori, based on previous research, we proposeda improved Apriori algorithm based on tree-structure pattern and ameliorate algorithm based on the frequent item-set tree, then deal with massive data using the improvedalgorithm and processing on the database compressed two-dimensional array structure of memory processing mode, the depth traversal methods dynamic pruning frequentitem-sets processed, the algorithm is more stable frequent single set-based data sets inlong mode, the processing efficiency is good.At last, the improved algorithm is applied in the college admissions. We completeadmissions modeling, design, and implement the recruitment analysis prototypesystem. The data sources of this system are students perso nal information of theTongren university. Using system analyses the data, we can find some rule problemsof admission and make direct decisions. The application result shows that the degreeof confidence is consistent with the actual situation, and the system analysis iseffective in the enrollment management of universities.
