With the rapid development of computer networks, the Internet carries the metro transport a variety of business networks, such as PSTN, ATM, IP, DDN, etc., in the telecommunications network construction, increasingly reflect its unique importance. Transmission network planning and construction, in particular, is based on a variety of business, we often come up in the original SDH network carried out. This requires us to focus on the continuity on the SDH network, compatibility and operability, scalability, and the key consideration customers’requirements for data services, as well as on the current3G transmission network requirements.This paper mainly focus on highway SDH optical transmission network technology discussions, communication networks based on characteristics such as toll roads, graphics and data services for the SDH transmission network structure and design are discussed, focusing on analysis of the integrated service access network in the average optical power too weak business disruption causes and solutions designed structure of the communication network of sites, and through practical tests verify the correctness of the network design.Paper first introduces the background and significance of SDH technology, and SDH technology development status and trends are described, and the current technical characteristics of several optical transport networks were analyzed and compared.Secondly, the structure of SDH systems with the main part of the cross-plate works were introduced, focusing on analysis of the current most important network SDH network structure:self-healing network.
