With the arrival of the3G and the restructuring of the operator, the fiercecompetition of the mobile communications industry exacerbate the loss of customers,which have a direct impact on the operator’s market share, economic benefits andother key indicators. Faced with fierce market competition, retaining the high-valuecustomers who have the loss tendency, effectively forecasting the customers who mayleave the networks and inclining the marketing strategy is an important research topic.This paper studies the data mining technology and its research on theprediction of the loss of mobile customers, the main works as follows:(1) It analyses the reasons and the characteristics of the customer lose on themobile communication industry and points out several problems existed on the mobilecommunication industry. As to the data mining method adopted on the mobilecommunication industry, it studies it and gives its characteristics.(2) As to the characteristics of the mobile communication industry, it analysesseveral kinds of the data mining prediction model. It puts forward a lose predictionmodel on the basis of the back-propagation neural network, conducts the experimentalanalysis and proves the effectiveness of the model.(3) It achieves the data mining system of the customer lose and shows the designdetails of the system on the basis of the large customer lose prediction model.
