Electronic design automation (EDA) is a realization of electronic systems orelectronic design automation technology, EDA technology, an important feature is theuse of hardware description language (HDL) and other ways to complete the designfiles downloaded to the programmable logic device on the circuit design. Thetwenty-first century, with the rapid development of semiconductor manufacturingtechnology, making an already high cost of CPLD/FPGA chips to become themainstream of conventional ASIC design. This thesis examined a large amount ofliterature, and to study some aspects of university teaching experience PLD experiment.School-oriented teaching based on the application requirements, developed a set ofsuitable courses required CPLD-based teaching experiment boards.This thesis first introduces the basic EDA technology and PLD, focusing on theCPLD works, structural features, etc. are introduced. Then, the PLD courses of thecurriculum analysis and experimental requirements analysis. On the basis of this,developed a test based on CPLD board. The experimental board hardware modularlayout and design, each functional module design and chip selection. Finally, in formingthe basis of hardware design, this thesis also discusses the use of software development,combined with experimental board gives basic experimental test board example.
