sEMG is an electrical signal which produced by the human body muscle contraction, because the signal is closely related to muscle state, if you want to learn the body muscle function,the EMG study on the extraction is very important. At present, there are two types of Surface EMG recording system. One is based on PC machine and this system is integrated by the acquisition and analysis function. The other is portable acquisition system which based on handheld terminal. Because of bulky and expensive, the first design generally only applies to hospitals and other large public places. And the second portable design which based on specific handheld terminal has a good human-computer interface, but lacks of commonality, and cannot interact with a PC.In view of the above factors, this paper designs a portable Surface EMG recording system which based on android smart phones. This design collects multi-channel sEMG by the system which contains STM32series ARM processor. At the same time, android smart phone with large screen is used as upper computer. By developing android app on this upper computer, sEMG real-time display, storage and process can be realized in this design.This paper will mainly research on the following four parts:(1)To establish proper sEMG pickup method and model, get the best electrode position. To study the design of the sEMG processing module based on EMG amplitude, frequency characteristics.(2) To selection the type of system’s control processor and the wireless transmission mode by calculating and anglicizing the requirement of data rate in the system.And then complete the design of multi-channel sEMG recording system’s lower PC.(3) To research the development methods of android application software and develop the sEMG recording App on the smart phone with lower PC.(4) To research the theory of muscle fatigue and find the connection between muscle fatigue and sEMG amplitude, frequency characteristics. And summarized a more accurate muscle fatigue identification method which based on sEMG with experimental comparison.This paper describes the design of portable sEMG recording system which based on Android smart phones. At the same time, this paper showed how to implement the function of sEMG real-time display, storage and muscle fatigue evaluation.
