Nowadays, along with the fast development of internet, the publishinghouse has to promote internal management and the competitiveness in orderto survive and occupy a certain share in the industry during the fiercecompetition. The human resource planning plays an important role inpromoting strategy implementation of publishing house, standardizing internalmanagement for developing of the publishing house. In our paper, the study onstrategic human resource planning for metallurgical industry press was carriedout. The research are mainly focused on four parts: The total demand ofhuman resource; supply forecast of internal human resource; supply forecastof external human resource and The implementation guarantee of humanresource planning strategy.Firstly, through interviews and investigation, the current human resourcemanagement situation of Metallurgical Industry Press was known. We alsoanalyzed the human resource and made strategic planning combined with thefuture strategic target of press. Subsequently, Position Structure, age andeducation backgroud of the whole staff, administrative staff, editorial staff andpublisher were analyzed and the existing problem of personal structure wasdiscussed as well. Finally, Employees create positions method was used foranalysis of human resource demand and supply forecast In the next threeyears.Based on the predicted conclusions, combined the Metallurgical IndustryPress’ strategic human resource planning and human resource managementissues, the author made a directionality plan on human resources in the nextthree years for department staff and strategical talents about quantity, quality,structure and configuration, and proposedthre effective safeguards ofimplementation: a top-down organization recognized,the perfect humanresources management system, and dynamic evaluation mechanisms. End of the article pointed out the innovations, limitations of this study and the researchdirections in the future.
