The Embedded image acquisition system, which has small volume, lowpower consumption, low cost advantages, was widely used in daily workenvironment such as the remote video transmission, video conferencing, imageacquisition and monitoring. This paper proposed a kind of design of system andthe research plan base on the ARM for the image of acquisition and wirelesstransmission system.Make use of S5PC100embedded microcontroller processoras the hardware core, OV9650as image acquisition module, wireless WIFImodule chip for Marvell8686, self-built embedded Boa servers were built tocommunicate with remote image acquisition equipment, so it is formed of theembedded image acquisition system.This paper base on the S5PC100development board hardware platform,Firstly, select Linux as the operating system, with respect to the software part,including the U-the Boot, the Linux kernel and root file system were to cut sothat transplanted into development board, and secondly, the circuit principlediagram of image sensor OV9650and chip interface are analyzed in this paper,such as the Camif S5PC100interface. Base on the V412video equipment underLinux processing benchmark describes the use GPIO to simulate the SCCBprotocol implementation, and design the corresponding drivers and applications.At the same time programmer the Wifi wireless transmission module driver,wireless transmission module is designed. In addition, make use of Boa server tointeract with the remote device, realized the function of remote server Boadisplay image.This paper designed the image acquisition and wireless transmission systembased on ARM Cortex-A8. This system integrates image acquisition, wirelesstransmission and servers technology.We operated the network video server,Wifiwireless card, Boa server migration, kernel compilation and configuration, madethe image acquisition equipment, Wifi device driver compilation after loading tothe development board, after the debugging, the experiment achieves theexpected effect. The result of experiment include images resolution640x480, wireless transmission rates up to5MBPS, Boa server display collected imagesand running stable. The results show that the design of the embedded imageacquisition system has high integration and stability, and can meet therequirements of most situations, it has wide application prospect.
