Research Of Android And SIP Based Softphone System

With the rapid development of the Internet and the growing popularity of smart phones,VoIP technology is getting more and more popular in communication area. VoIP technologycan substantially reduce the long-distance phone charges, as a result, VoIP technology basedmobile applications are increasingly favored by people.This paper take VoIP technology as technical background, android system as platform,studies and explore the designation and realization of android application based on SIPprotocol, demonstrates the feasibility of VoIP technology based mobile application.This paper first reviews the current status of VoIP technology, VoIP system’s features andadvantages compared to other techniques, and then studies SIP protocol’s functions andfeatures. Further more, this paper discusses the composition of SIP systems, the compositionof SIP messages and related operations as well, after that, proposes SIP protocol design ideas,framework and implementation. Then discusses the architecture of this software, has a simpleintroduction to the software works as well as the division of software modules, focuses on thecommunication and voice module’s function, structure and its designation andimplementation. Finally, the research sums up the situation and make a follow-up researchand development direction.In this paper, after the overall analysis, the whole software is divided into severalmodules according to the internal functions of software needs. Has a clear need to implementthe functionality of each module, and the software’s core modules are analyzed in detail. Onthis basis, realize the function of each module by using object-oriented thinking.This software using VoIP technology, using android system as a running platform,realized the function of voice call in the Internet. After testing this software, it can run onandroid stably, and also it can support stable voice call in2G,3G and WIFI network.
