The mineral oil such as transformer oil, lubricating oil and hydraulic oil used in the industrial production could be easily contaminated, which may affect the quality and performance. In addition to solid particles, moisture could be the most harmful contaminant of all the contaminants in the oil. The moisture existence in oil is the main factor causing the failure of equipment, and excess moisture contamination can cause oil degradation, increased corrosion and wear of equipments. Therefore, the test of moisture content is one of the oil industry routine tests, whether it is being used or before, it is very important to test the moisture content of the oil for accurate monitoring.This design is based on the current domestic brands of moisture in oil transmitter gaps in the market situation, for the goal of substituting foreign products, using STM32F3series of32-bit microcontrollers based on ARM Cortex M4core promoted lately by ST, designed a transmitter for measuring water in the oil. The transmitter measures the activity and temperature of water in the oil directly, and the specific parameters in the oil can calculate water content in different oil. This study completed the hardware circuit design and debugging; used C language to write the applications in the ARM integrated development environment for KEIL MDK-ARM; prepared different relative humidity of saturated salt solution for calibration of the measurement results; used VB PC software to collect the real-time test data, and the collected data can also be exported as an Excel file format for analysis.
