The computer room operating safely and stably relates to the interests of enterprises andsociety. It has become a research hotspot to provide users with high performance databasesystem. With the title “Computer Room Intelligent Monitoring and Management SystemDatabase Development”, the thesis studies the CRIMMS-DB conceptual model&the logicalmodel, CRIMMS system efficient data access technology and database security strategy toimprove CRIMMS system adaptability and openness, to meet the equipment and usersvariability, to improve the level of data sharing and data mining and ensure the data centerroom long-term, stable, secure, efficient and intelligent supporting enterprises operation. Itprovides a new solution and method to computer room monitoring system databasedevelopment and data security. It has important academic value and practical significance forcomputer room security and the development of measurement and control technology. Theresearch work is supported by New Century Excellent Researcher Award Program fromMinistry of Education of China (NCET-08-0211).The CRIMMS system has three major function modules: real-time supervision, historicaldata display, system management and maintenance. I am mainly responsible for aspects ofdatabase systems, database design, deployment and maintenance; such as writing storeprocedures for data processing; utilizing the database management system to deploy theautomated data processing; processing the raw reading and associated data format conversion;optimizating the data processing systems to meet the needs of real-time monitoring, and toachieve data analysis, data display and and other functions of CRIMMS system.The thesis focuses on CRIMMS-DB database conceptual model and logical modeldesign, modeling and analysis CRIMMS-DB, based on the analysis of CRIMMS system dataflow diagram and data processing,and then test CRIMMS-DB on CRIMMS system platform.Thus we get the CRIMMS-DB database, with independent intellectual property rights, to meetusers’s demands of monitoring computer room. The thesis main includes: Puting forwardnetwork topology framework and modular multi-tier architecture for CRIMMS system, takingdiversification of monitoring equipment, signal type and acquisition way of the CRIMMSsystem into consideration, to solve integration access problems of diversity differential deviceof CRIMMS system. Analyzing data entities of CRIMMS system and entities relationships,designing CRIMMS-DB conceptual model and logical model, and modeling analysis withPowerDesigner, according CRIMMS system business requirements, functional requirementsand data requirements.Thus acquiring a reasonable structure fully functional CRIMMS-DB to meet CRIMMS system monitoring needs.Research and analysis data access technology, put forward an universal data access layerfor CRIMMS system, which not only can access relational data, but also can accessnon-relational data, At the same time, taking data access performance and developmentefficiency of CRIMMS system into account,and programming the proposed efficient andconvenient universal database access layer in the CRIMMS system. The implementationsupports CRIMMS system "multiple Sets of Books database", and realize the system dataaccess to MS SQL Server, Oracle, Access and other types of databases, so CRIMMS systemdecouple from a specific type of database access,and effectively improve CRIMMS systemflexibility and scalability.Research CRIMMS system database security strategy,and put forward "double-end"security policy, from database server and the client two aspects to ensure the data safety ofCRIMMS system. Put forward a neutral strategy and completely independent of other meansof security access control method, to solve a large number of users, data object and accessauthorization management problems of CRIMMS system. And implement RBAC-basedaccess control security system via programming to ensure data security of CRIMMSsystem.Research and development machine cabinet CRIMMS system test platform forCRIMMS-DB application and testing. The thesis developed CRIMMS-DB has been appliedto a company room monitoring project, achieving the desired effect and meeting the demandsof user of computer room monitoring.
