Design And Implementation Of Library Information Management System

The library information management system is a typical information management system (MIS). In the process of development it mainly includes works such as setting-up and maintaining background database, coding front stage application program etc. In the aspect of constructing database it must have characters of consistency and integrality. In the aspect of codeing front stage application programe it must satisfy the demand of users and have characters of easy to oprate.In this dissertation the system combines the actual demands of users in the development according to their damands; it uses SQL database technology and VB.NET as front stage development language analyses and designs the demand, function models, dabase of the system. The library information management of this dissertation includes: system management model, book information management model, reader management model, book query model and book search model. Starting with the actual demands of libray information management system it completes the feasibility analysis, requirement analysis, database design and system designaccording to software engineering theory. The dissertation analyses application requirement of libraray information management system, and completes database requirement analysis, databse conception structure design and database logic structure design. It completes database design and implementaion, realized the opration of insert, delete, refresh and query, it also realized fuzzy query and conjunctive qurery with various conditions for the higher query demands of users. It analysed and designed system’s functionalmodel and other functionalmodels. The system adopts top-down model designing method to analyses system modelsin a whole, uses structured programming method in coding process. As a concsequence the system has characters of good expandability, convenience and easy to study.
