Design Of Open Laboratory Management System And Realization Of SMS Course Elective System

Experimental teaching has significant effect on developing students’ practical and innovative ability. Universities have increased their investment in laboratory construction, improving the laboratory equipment and other hardware facilities. Though, the level of laboratory management has not been enhancing at a corresponding speed. Under condition that developing a user-friendly, intelligent laboratory management system is particularly important. Making full use of modern information technology, open laboratory management system is developed for effective coordination among the lab managers, teachers and students. It can make every aspect of laboratory management informanization, not only reduce workload of laboratory managers, but also improve the entire utilization of the laboratory.This article conducts a deep research on design and analysis of the open laboratory management system, reference to domestic successful laboratory management system, and combines with the actual situation of Central South University. Based on the original WEB platform, use the network technology and GSM mobile communication technology, and put forward a set of overall solution on university laboratory management system. Describe systematically the whole system architecture and the specific features. Learn and master the coding theory, and AT commands, related theories to SMS. Combining state machine design process, multi-threaded technology and database access, we develop a course selection subsystem based on the SMS in VS2008platform. Test results show that the system has achieved the expected goals, and can be put into trial.Open laboratory management is an effective way to not only realize the experiment information management, improve the efficiency, but also coordinate teachers and students so that they could use the laboratory resources effectively, which is the future direction of laboratory management development.
