In a certain extent, the traditional examination model is not scientific, which notonly spent more manpower, but also lengthen the examination period. Coupled withhuman factors, it easily caused the miscarriage of justice in the marking process, whichseriously affected the fairness of the examination. With the development of networktechnology and the popularity of network in teaching institutions, online examinationsystem comes into being.This thesis designs and implements the online examination system according to therequirements of San Men Xia Polytechnic. The online examination system usingadvanced AJAX technology combined with the B/S three layer system structures canmake the exam answer got saved in time. This has a countdown function, so as to makeits performance greatly improved. In addition, this thesis also analyzes several algori-thms about assembling examination papers. This paper adopts the strategy combinedwith manual, automatic and random methods. The security performance of the testsystem is more reliable, is to be able to provide a high quality interactive onlineexamination system for the school.With the supports of the AJAX technology,the online examination on system canprovide a simpler, safe exam environment for students and teachers, and it’s also safeand reliable for the examination and the examinee information management. Candidateswill have an ideal examination process which reduces the time for candidates. Thesystem has automatically saved the test function, which can avoid the exam at the endof an excessive number of servers in large stress. The server terminals candidatesanswer transmission to the examination system and then transmitted to the database aresaved by the browser.
