Wireless sensor network (Wireless Sensor Networks, WSN), with its wide range ofapplications as well as the large potential, sets off a wave of research boom in recent years,while almost all the applications are related to the problem of localization. The so-calledsensor node localization is a series of measures which are used to make the node know itselfrelative or absolute location coordinates, helping WSN make further reaction and decision.However, with the development of technology, the network environment is increasinglycomplex, considering the network self-organizing characteristic and the sensor node fragility,the node localization mechanism is likely to be attacked, communication messages areeasily attacked by malicious forgery and tampering, which seriously impact the networkperformance, therefore so the development of the secure localization mechanism is verynecessary. To solve this problem, research word is conducted as follows:Firstly, considering the threat of the attack in wireless sensor network localizationsystem, we proposed a security localization algorithm based on distributed wormhole attackdetection. Taking the TDOA ranging-based localization algorithm as the entry point, weanalyze the nature of the wormhole attack, use the ordinary nodes and beacon nodes as thewormhole detector, detecting wormhole malicious nodes due to the message consistency inthe positioning process and conflict generated by the virtual neighbor relations. And theconflict detecting takes place in the localization process, which maintains lowcomputational complexity and reduces the communication cost. The above mechanismsolves the problem of wormhole attack detection in node localization, protects the securityof the network environment, and enhances performance of node positioning.Secondly, there may be security vulnerabilities in the existing localization algorithmitself, to solve this problem we propose a Differentia Matrix Secure Localization Algorithm(DMSL). The mechanism includes safe positioning based on Differentia Matrix module andnode secure localization verification module, uses beacon nodes as the detector to evaluatethe measured distance and reliability of the reference coordinates, brings in the differentiamatrix to discard abnormal distance and reference coordinates, and expels replica nodes. And then the mechanism uses the secure localization verification module to evaluate theaccuracy of the results, which checks the distance and angle to find the anomalies caused bythe false position. The above method solves the problem of attack tolerance and falseposition result detecting, enhances the security of the node localization in hostileenvironment, and improves the node localization accuracy and credibility.Finally, we evaluate the algorithm by experiment, the results show that the mechanismhas good performance in a variety of network parameters; the method can detect wormholenodes effectively, guarantee the localization precision, enhance localization reliability andensure the safety of nodes’ localization algorithm.
