The third-party logistics is a kind of logistics service models provided byenterprises except the shipper of the first-party and the consignee of the second-party. Its main purpose is to improve the flowing speed of goods and save ware-housing costs and transit fees. And a high efficient, accurate and practical man-agement information system is a guarantee for improving third-party logisticsservice efficiency, which can enhance the core competitiveness of enterprisesthemselves as well.In recent years, the advent and rapid development of cloudcomputing technology provides a wider space for the development and imple-mentation of logistics management system. PaaS cloud computing service modewith Windows Azure Platform as the representative provides a better softwaredevelopment environment for the majority of developers. It not only reduces thecost of system development, improves the system developing efficiency underthe cloud computing environment, and greatly reduces the base hardware andsoftware resource invested by the enterprises.Based on this, this paper deeply studied the current development situation ofthe third-party logistics management system and the cloud computing, and thekey realization technology of the system. Combining with practical work in theprocess of logistics, by using cloud computing technology, database, networkcommunication and ASP.NET technology et al, the overall architecture of the lo-gistics information management is designed and its business and case analysis isfinished detailedly.The system is cloud application program based on Windows Azure Platform.It basically achieved the main service function in the whole logistics activitywhere the third-party logistics companies and clients need. It also has completedthe design and implementation of function modules, such as the system login, cargos management in warehouse, order management and transportation man-agement and so on. The commissioning and deployment of the cloud have beencarried on, and various kinds of testing as well, traditional unit test, system testand the best performance testing included.At present, the prototype of the system has been basically completed. Wehave proceeded a series of relevant debugging and tests for the system, makingthe system run initially in Windows Azure simulator. As the result shows, theoverall system design is reasonable, and the system has basically realized thefunction of the third-party logistics services.
