Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of Internet economy, online shopping is becoming one of the daily behaviors of popular Internet users. At the same time, a large number of network selling enterprises and network selling platforms have been extensively emerging, which makes the users’ choices become continually extensive. However, the traditional network selling enterprises or network selling platforms can only cover a small portion of products sold on the network. If the buyers want to buy satisfying commodities, they have to browse a mass of websites. Therefore, a batch of shopping guide websites has emerged. Unfortunately, these shopping guide websites simply gather the goods of several sellers and re-show them with no further processing and classification to make the users’ shopping easier. The design and development of our constructed comparison shopping engine are to overcome the aforementioned shortcomings.The proposed system has the following features to enhance the users’ usage experiences:First, the knowledge base is utilized as the foundation to build the commodity categories for all the commodities from the different websites. Moreover, the commodity information is analyzed. The information and analysis of each commodity are used to establish the index information for users to retrieve.Second, when the users’ query keywords cover different brands, types, and trade names, clustering the same commodities together and re-demonstrating the clustered commodities to the users may greatly reduce the repeated commodity information.and provide the bottom price together with the selling information of the commodities.Third, when one user retrieves the keywords of a class of commodities with the same trade name, the other optional conditions can be displayed in the form of label to the user. For example, when one user search’mobile phone’, the brand, type, and other information can be shown in the form of label.Finally, the users’ queries might become more convenient by utilizing the keywords information of users’ queries and referring to the related query terms recommended by the knowledge base.In the dissertation, the high performance and extensible open source information retrieval framework of Lucene are used as the basis for developing and utilized to overcome the above-mentioned problems. At the same time, the knowledge base is used as the realization manner. Thus, after the system arranged, improving users’ behavior and succeeding development can be realized only through the way of improving the knowledge base.
