This article focused on the photoelectric matrix encoder study:Firstly, the overall structure of the photoelectric encoder is designed, and the design of spindle system, optical lighting element and the incept element will be described in detail. Secondly, the signal acquisition and processing system are designed.Finally, the photoelectric encoder of the error in the measurement process for the signal quality and software subdivision will be analyzed. The factors effecting on the encoder are analyzed and given, some advice is presenred to improve the encoder system. The DSP,as the master control chip was choosen to taken the charge of the whole system control. Flexibility in the use of good A/D collected the photoelectric signal. In the CPLD, we did the decoding of the entire system. Finally, in order to improve the accuracy of optical encoder we should offset error.But optical encoder’s error is nonlinear and difficult to describe in right mathematical model.In this essay,I take use of BP network to offset error.If it can provide enough sample model for network learning and training, BP will be able to complete the non-linear mapping of the n-dimensional input space to m-dimensional output space. The net after training has exellent ablity of generalization.After offsetting,optical decoder’s accyracy has been improved greatly.
