Hybrid optoelectronic joint transform correlator (HOJTC) can realize real-time recognition and localization of objects (azimuth angle and altitude angle), Multiple target dynamic measurement has been one of key technologies to be resolved in cluttered background. To enhance the brightness of the correlation peaks and improve the recognition efficiency of correlator, the Sobel algorithm and Canny algorithm are introduced in object plane processing technology of the dynamic sequences, the influence of noise can be reduced and the edge image of the goal and the template can be got.To solve the size, rotation and shape mismatch problem between the target and the template, temporal template replacement method is proposed, which can take the temporal state of the target former frame as the template for the next frame to reach the purpose of real time template update.Sometimes even no correlation peaks appear because of cluttered scene, multiple target and large noise. Aimed at this problem, The combination of Gaussian filter and Laplace operator was used in the HOJTC for image enhancement of joint power spectrum, it retain the details of spectrum image.The experiments shows that, This method solved the problem of multiple target recognition, and increased the rate of target recognition of HOJTC. And effectively improve the related point brightness of optical correlator.
