Underwater imaging technology mainly includes underwater acoustic imaging and underwater light imaging technology. Underwater imaging technology owes high image resolution feature when the imaging distance is short, it is much better than underwater acoustic imaging. Underwater imaging can be divided into active imaging and passive imaging, Laser compared to other lights has the characteristics of higher power, less divergence angle and better monochromaticity, this topic uses the laser to irradiate the objects, it is an active imaging. The imaging distance and imaging quality of the active underwater imaging will be affected by water scattering and water absorption. In order to overcome these adverse effects, considering the underwater light transmission characteristics and several key technologies, to further improve the underwater imaging quality, a new program of polarization imaging technology that based on synchronous scanning and filter is proposed, Then I set up the experiment platform and analyzed the images we got from the experiment to validate the superiority and feasibility of the program. In order to analysis underwater image contrast, do image processing and calculate underwater imaging distance, this paper sets up a laser underwater imaging backscattering model by theoretical analysis and calculation.Due to the water refraction, underwater imaging faces the problem of viewing angle loss, graphic distortion and serious Chromatic Aberration, etc. In view of this situation, I use ZEMAX software design and optimize a set of underwater special imaging lens, its FOV (fields of view) is72°, relative aperture is1/1.6, it meets the requirements of the subject. And in order to facilitate the lens processing and assembly, the tolerance is formulated and analysed.
