1.3μm laser is in the atmospheric window, it has low loss in fiber transmission and high water absorption. It is widely used in spectra analysis, laser radar, optical communication and nonlinear optical frequency conversion. The Q-switching technology of1.3μm laser is always focused on AO Q-switching and passively Q-switching. In this thesis, narrow line width and high peak power1319nm/1338nm dual-wavelength Nd:YAG laser was researched theoretically and experimentally. The main study can be summarized as below:(1)The oscillation condition of1319nm/1338nm dual-wavelength Nd:YAG laser was deduced from the threshold formula. Mat lab was used to simulate the influence of1064nm laser on1319nm/1338nm laser output. Method to reduce1064nm laser was put forward and the optimum reflectivity of the output coupler was determined.(2)Different kinds of electro-optic Q-switching crystals and ways of applying voltage were compared and proper experiment method was put forward.(3)Based on the theory, experimented on1319nm/1338nm dual-wavelength Nd:YAG laser. In normal operation,210.8mJ output power was obtained, the pump voltage was1000V. In Q-switched operation, the pulse energy was9.6mJ, pulse width was140ns, the pump voltage was1000V.
