Pressure pipes have a wide range of applications in the field of high pressure water systems, high pressure gas system, and high pressure fuel system etc. undertaking transported task of high pressure, flammable, explosive substances etc.. The event of a leak, will not only result in poisoning, and there is a risk of explosion, and even cause accidents leading to disastrous consequences.In this paper, a new identification and location method which was used in detection of pressure pipe leakage. First, principles, methods, and development status of pressure pipe acoustic emission and ultrasonic were summarized. And analyze the feasibility of joint detection of acoustic emission and ultrasonic reflection, then design hardware and software of acoustic emission combined with ultrasonic detection system including the processing of transmitting and receiving signals, and a friendly interface design. Both Theoretical analysis and simulate were demonstrated that the application of wavelet transform to improve the accuracy was reliability.
