Missions of teaching management and student administration are confronting bigchallenges on the way of informatization in the domain of high education. In the pastdecade, the domestic education industry has been developing considerably fast by thefull support of the country. Hence, the trend of the university development has beentowards to multiple campuses based, various disciplines crossing, and continuouslyexpanding scale. Due to the yearly increasing number of university students, the jobseeking, graduation administration, student community management, and ideologicaleducation so on and so forth have been becoming crucial factors of preventing thehigh quality of the ongoing university student administration. The elaborate work ofuniversity student management results in the traditional labor based method and themanual management are far behind to fulfill the needs of the current workload, whichto some extent impact the smoothly going of the pedagogics as well. How to solve thecontradiction between the increasing number of students and the high work efficiencyand quality becomes a capital topic for each researcher in the field of education. In order to solve the emerging problem, the thesis focuses on the realization ofan efficient student management system. It is divided into three main parts:The first part contains the basic introduction, related literatures and the relevanttechnological concepts, which include J2EE software developing platform, threetechniques in system structure S2SH: Strust, Spring and Hibernate, developingplatform and environment MyEclipse plus Tomcat, and database Oracle. Integratingseveral advantages of these techniques, together with the background of the topic, it iscapable to overcome difficulties in the development of the system.Requirement analysis and design falls to the second part of the thesis where firstthe software developing lifeline is introduced. After comprehensive comparison, thecommonly used water fall module is chosen to be adopted in our system. Then everyfunctional module of the system is described and well planned and the system isdivided into11sub-modules followed by a detailed system analysis based on data flow. An example of the teacher as a system administrator is given by a figure.Additionally, this part also includes the content of the use case diagram, statusdiagram and UI sectional view diagram and gives the system requirement analysispractically. It also proposes specific requirements from the four aspects: functionality, reliability, efficiency and portability. The third part is the kernel of the thesis which explains the general system design, the detailed design, realization of the system and the system test. It applies multiple-level framework to describe the general system structure, then according to the flowof the data stream diagram, several aspects of requirement analysis, concept design, logical design, physical design and test are verified. Then the following codingprocedure is given after the configuration of the presentation layer and the servicelogical layer. The login user interface and the editing of the webpages are finished atthe last which are demonstrated by figures in Chapter4, afterwards the three tests:unit test and sub-system test and acceptance test are involved systematically as well.
