This project is based on the requirement of a company to design a remote intelligent monitoring system of broadcast equipment. In this paper, many technologies including signal acquisition, audio codec, data communication, image monitoring are mainly studied. The monitoring terminal system uses the ARM+Linux embedded solutions, the core controller is S3C2440A. The PSTN, as the communication mode in this system has the advantages of wide distribution, unrestricted communication distance. According to the characteristics of the communication mode and system, the paper designs a set of special communication protocol and completes the design and implementation of the program of communication part, it achieves basic data communication.In the audio transmission module, according to the special circumstances of the project, through appropriate reduce of sampling rate and the appliance of MPEG2-AAC audio compression algorithm, the remote real-time audio playback is implemented on the lower bandwidth PSTN and the sound quality is improved compared to the traditional voice calls.In the image transmission module, JPEG format image is directly captured by the camera and the way of blocking transmission is used, and then decoding displays on the monitoring center, the system implements view live images of the remote base station in the monitoring center. Compared with traditional videophone, although it cannot receive real-time video, but can get a better image quality.In the power signal transmission and monitoring module, the power signal is converted to voltage signal by the circuit. The power signal which contains small amount of data can be transmitted directly. Through real-time monitoring of power signal and alarm to monitoring center when the power signal is abnormal, the paper realizes the intelligent monitoring of broadcast equipment.Finally, the design of the software is discussed in detail, through software programming and debugging, the paper realizes the monitoring system which can meet the demand and is effective in the actual test.
