Module power source mostly works in pulse manner, which makes the dynamic change range of both capacitive and resistive load large, so it requires high in efficiency, density, stability and dynamic response. So far there exist many module power source manufactures in and out of china, but the products efficiency which are developed by them is low due to the limited topologies. As a result, high efficient circuits need to be applied and corresponding integrated design should be investigated to adapt to the technical development of radar system and to improve the performance of radar power source modules.In this paper, firstly the working principle of phase-shifted full bridge converter is analyzed in details,12working states in one switching cycle and the condition to realize soft switch are illustrated. Secondly the main circuit of module power source and design of planar transformer, filter circuit, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) are introduced. Thirdly the control circuit is introduced, which adopts UC3879as control chip to effectively realize phase-shifted control, and protective circuits are introduced which improve the power source stability. Meanwhile, software Saber is used for simulation to provide evidence for parameter design.Finally a prototype is developed, and experiment verifies the correctness of circuit and simulation and shows that this power source is of high efficiency, small volume, high security and stability, and good using prospect.
