Membership System, as a new method for competition, has attracted the attention andbeen adapted by more and more companies gradually in the field of retail industry.However traditional manual membership management has a lot of disadvantages, such aslow efficiency in information management, bad security, difficult update and maintenance.Computer technology and membership management system not only lead to easyrecording, searching, checking and counting but also allow easy operating, great memoryand high efficiency.Based on functional requirements analysis, this system is designed according todifferent customers and adopts three levels of MVC architecture. Kinds of different andcomplex database operations and business logic are covered by JavaBean and form anindependent module. By using JavaBean, the users could use the system easily whichincrease the security and portability of the system. JavaBean and Servlet are used forprogramming; Struts is used to be the framework; Server is Apache Tomcat; and SQLServer is used for supporting database. These functions as checking member’s registration,login, management and decision are realized in this system. At the same time with the helpof MVC architecture design makes the membership management system fulfilled as wellas low coupling, high reusability, good maintainability and low life cycle costs. At thesame time data mining technology is used in the phase of development, and decision treeclassification ID3algorithm is used to find out the characteristic of potential customersand forecast potential customer accordingly. This membership management system couldimprove the efficiency of membership management, and offer info support to the topmanagement, which will benefit the sales and operation of the company.
