With the development of industrial automation, increasingly high requirements are required for hydraulic control systems in various industries. A digital proportional amplifier with high control accuracy and good performance has become an inevitable development trend of the proportional amplifier. In this paper, a digital proportional amplifier with better control performance, high reliability and stability was proposed and implemented quo today’s development status of proportional amplifier. The proportional amplifier we proposed in this paper comprises three parts. First part is the configuration system which is based ARM9of the digital proportional valve (the host computer system). The second part is the digital proportional valve amplifier which is based in ARM7(the slave computer systems). The third part is the interaction between the slave computer and host computer, including parameters setting and reading. With such configurations including self-tuned PID parameter module, the whole system has good human-computer interaction and can be easily operated. The test results indicated that both the steady-state and dynamic performance of the amplifier can be improved. The content of this paper is divided into six chapters and the general content of each chapter is as below. In chapter1, the research and development status of proportional control amplifier both at home and abroad were introduced. And the research status of self-tuning PID parameter controller was also introduced. In the end of the chapter, the background and significance of the research topic were introduced. In chapter2, the function requirements of the digital proportional valves were analyzed in order to determine how to choose the host controller. Finally, ARM9was selected as the system processor of the digital proportional valve amplifier configuration. ARM7was selected as the digital processor for the proportional valve amplifier. In the end, the overall system design was described. In chapter3, the ARM9-based hardware system configuration of the hand-holding digital proportional was detailed presented. And together with the serial communication module, the software system which is based on embedded Linux and cross-platform graphics QT library software systems were detailed presented. In chapter4, the working principle of the digital proportional valve which is based on ARM7was detailed presented. Also, the hardware systems and software systems based on compiled ADS1.2were detailed presented. In the hardware system, the circuit reversed unload power magnifying electric circuit is introduced. The modules of the software of slave machine are introduced one by one in this chapter. In chapter5, the PID tuning module of the digital proportional valve was detailed presented. The PID tuning module can be divided into two parts. The first part is the PI tuning by current feedback control. The second part is the PID tuning by position feedback control. Ultimately, the relay self-tuning PID controller was determined as the research subject of this paper. At the end of this chapter, experiments and system debugging were introduced.Chapter6summarizes the main work of the paper and makes the prospects for future research.
