Unlike traditional wired networks, wireless local area network is easy to deploy, with the characteristics of high flexibility, high mobility its rapid development in a variety of fields. But also due to the openness of the wireless network transmission medium, making its security problems gradually get concerned about the risk of listening and forged data everywhere.In order to solve the security risks of wireless LAN, IEEE developed wireless LAN security standard802.11i. The standards-based the RSN security systems, improve the flaws in the WEP encryption mechanism. A comprehensive upgrade in data protection, authentication, access control and key management. In this paper, a brief review of the802.11standard and wireless network security status based on the802.11i protocol specific analysis.802.11i mainly the introduction of the CCMP, EAP-TLS, four-step the the handshake key negotiation mechanism, significantly enhances the security of the wireless LAN.802.11i for security flaws in IEEE802.11protocol, do a lot of improvements, but there are still some loopholes. For example, is not protected control and management frames makes DoS attacks take advantage of the four-way handshake process. In addition802.11i compatibility issues exist with traditional wireless devices, can not be completely replaced by802.11devices.Analyzed for the802.11and80.211i security issues, a few of the more common security threats:unauthorized the workstations access, MAC address spoofing, DoS attack. And an intrusion detection system designed for these types of security threats, mainly through wireless data capture and protocol analysis, the special detection, intrusion detection log alarm four module.
