The research on intrusion detection in the field of wire net is already deep, and the efficient intrusion detection system has been devised. However, with the intrinsic characteristic, the prospective effect could not be achieved when the corresponding technology of wire net was applied to wireless net.Nowadays, the intrusion detection on WLAN stays on the testing stage. For an example, alpha stage product, Snort-wireless released by the Snort, intrusion detection system of open sound code, adds Wi-Fi protocol field and key words to option, and adopts the method of formula matching to fulfill intrusion detection, which can identify bastardly AP. But the regular files lack effective regular definitions, which limits the detection function and can not well detect the MAC address camouflage or Denial of Service. The WLAN intrusion detection put forward by IBM is detecting by wireless inductor, which needs to be connected to wire net, thus the application area is limited and the cost of system is expensive. WIDZ system designed as conception model realizes AP supervising and refusing serving detection, yet lacks a good system configuration, so it exists certain localization. The innovation of this article exists in the following aspects:Analyzing the agreement and the safety capability of WLAN, studying the necessity of intrusion detection of wireless net.Comparing with wire net, presenting the characteristics and the application of intrusion detection of wireless net.Bringing forward the theory of intrusion detection technology introduced to WLAN, and presenting a model of distributed intrusion detection system applied to wireless net as well as the designing scheme.
