Research And Implementation Of RIA Network Examination System

As computer network technology becomes more and more popular in the educationfield, many schools have built their own campus networks which make it possible forthem to implement on-line education and examination systems. Nowadays, safe, fairand impartial on-line examination system has become an important application trend ofcomputer network technology.The system describes the design and implementation of an on-line examinationsystem, which not only promotes the computer utilization, but also emphasizes the anti-cheating measures. It is developed based on the B/S mode, using a simple and practicalWindows environment IIS+.NET+SQL Server. The system consists of register, login,teacher management, student management and database connection module etc. Meanwhile, improvement on GUI C/S communication of the traditional on-line examinationsystems has been made based on the RIA technology. On a hand, Silverlight technologyis used to enhance the examinees’ visual experience and interactive experience. On theother hand, the WCF is used to enable asynchronous communication between systemserver and clients, which makes it possible to upload data to the server byrefreshing partof the page instead of the traditional whole page,which greatly improves the efficiencyon the client sides.The paper is organized as follows: firstly, the paper introduces the research backgr-ound of the system development, the purpose and significance of the study,the main res-earch contents; secondly it introduces the technologies adopted in the test system devel-opment, including RIA technology, educational statistics and evaluation theory, the twogeneration of matrix rank algorithm and other techniques, such as WCF, XAML, SQLSERVER2008; moreover the paper analyzes the network examination system and func-tional requirements,functional requirements include two aspects includes the functional requirements and the role of test functional requirements, non functional requirementsanalysis includes environmental analysis, performance, safety analysis and so on; furth-ermore, the paper provides a summary on the design of the test system, a overall des-cription of the prototype design, system architecture design, detailed modeling and analsis, database design and implementation, and prepare for the future development of theexamination system;finally,the detailed design and implementation process are analyzedand the system is tested through reasonable methods.
