With the improvement of people’s living standard, people are concerning abouttheir own health deeply. The WBSN(Wireless Body Sensor Network) nodes havebeen widely used in the field of telemedicine, custody and care. The Wireless BodySensor Network Monitor System is composed by a large number of nodes and canmonitor the body’s physiological data in real-time, and could effectually transmitsthe data without delay to hospital or family members of patients at the same time.Most nodes design have less security, poor stability, weak anti-jamming capabilitywhen they transmit the physiological data at present. Spread spectrumcommunication technology is used to wirelessly communicate in this paper, and iscombined with FPGA and embedded processing who have lots of advantages torealize the global design of node.The design of WBSN node divides into four modules in this paper, including thesensor module, wireless communication module, processor module and power supplymodule. In the hardware design, The sensor module focuses on the collecting ofelectrocardiogram(ECG), blood pressure(BP), blood oxygen and temperature; In thepart of wireless communication module, digital logic part of direct sequence spreadspectrum communication system has been designed on Quartus II10.1platformwhich is professional for FPGA design, and the designed system’s entire simulationunder Modelsim6.5environment has been carried through to ensure the reliabilityand safety of wireless communication. In the part of processor module and powersupply module, the paper focuses on selecting the suitable chip and designs theexpansion circuit around the chip. Considering the rational use of hardware’sresource and feasibility of the plan, this paper has designed the overall work flow ofnodes, and accomplished specified software design to separate function, whichcontains some programs such as scheduling nodes, collecting physiological signaldata and wireless communication. Based on the direct sequence spread spectrum and FPGA and embeddedprocessing technology, the WBSN nodes are designed, they are not only intelligent,reliable, secure and anti-jamming, but also have a lot of advantages in terms of costand upgrade, they are playing a positive role in the future development oftelemedicine and health supervision system.
