Spread spectrum is an significant technology in modern communication system, it is widely applied because of the advantages such as its good performance on anti-jamming, anti-multi-path, high usage of spectrum, multiple access communication etc. FPGA becomes an important way in the field of hardware design for its strong capability, such as few cost, short cycle, can be revised for many times and intellectualized develop tools and so on. Direct spread spectrum system is designed in the paper. The key techniques and algorithms related to the system including the spread spectrum, matched filter and the estimation and revise of the difference of frequency and phase are discussed in details. Based on the discussion above we use VHDL to program and the function of the FPGA part is simulated. After testing the system some related simulation results and test results are presented. At last some questions needed to be studied further are introduced briefly. And some problems appearing during the work are also simply analyzed and summarized.
