Associated With The Use Of Social Networks And Political Efficacy Consciousness

Political efficacy is an important political attitude, through which we can understand the citizens’evaluation against the government or explain its political behavior. Using media is one of the important factors of political efficacy change that has been concerned by scholars. Social network is a new medium in recent years. It is quite a worth studying topic that its participation in the application and the change of political efficacy.This study selected the typical mass incidents with the dual demands of economic and political in recent years-Wukan Incident. On the premise of continuous attention, observe the use of social networks of parties and bystanders in Wukan Affair. Further by means of questionnaire and depth interview to present the relationship between the use of social networks and citizens’ political efficacy.From the results of research, respondents who read the news through various channels show different position in the political efficacy, political knowledge, political interest and political trust. They show vary level of perceive in the above four aspects in Wukan Incident as well. When they acquire news through weibo, portals, newspapers or magazines, and TV, their positive performance reduced in the order of political efficacy, political knowledge, political interests and political trust. What’s more, their positive performance in the knowledge degree of Wukan Incident in above four aspects is also show direct ratio.According to the finding, this study put forward the following suggestions. It need to form a broad public opinion environment and building positive interaction mechanism of the government, the public and the media when setting up the social network site as a citizen participate platform. Thus, it can increase the citizen’s political efficacy and political trust, so as to strengthen political knowledge and political interests, embody the citizen’s own value and significance in the transformation period, to promote the construction of a civilized society.
