Grid computing is an integrated environment of calculation and resources, it could carryout comprehensive sharing of various resources such as calculating, storage, data, information,knowledge, specialist, facility etc. Sensor networks could get requisite data of real-worldthrough installing a large number of sensor nodes in monitor area to measure physical worldprecisely.During the period of Internet of Things, there exist a large number of sensor networks,and the data which getted through sensor networks could be processed by grid computing.The resources of calculation and storage possesed by grid computing could process, analyzeand store mass data collected by wireless sensor networks. The data obtained by wirelesssensor networks could be used by various grid computing applications simultaneously.Through grid platform, the data obtained by the same wireless sensor network could be usedby various application simultaneously, which make the use of sense data more convenient,and the utilization of data was raised simultaneously. The new knowledge of the data ofwireless sensor network could be obtained through grid computing. In the grid computing,data mining, data fusion and distributed database technology, etc. could be used to deal withthe data obtained from the grid to obtain new knowledge of sensor data.Researching the sensor network management technology in grid environment can notonly better solve the problem occurred in the combining process of grid and sensor networkssuch as network connection, scalability, task scheduling etc, but also convenient for sensornetworks to proceed network planning, performance management, security management,configuration management, faulty management and traffic(accounting) management.In this paper, the main works includes:1) Researching the aim and content of network management of sensor networks in thegrid environment, including network planning, performance management, securitymanagement, configuration management, faulty management and traffic (accounting)management, etc;2) Researching the technology model and architecture which suit for the networkmanagement of sensor networks in the grid environment;3) Researching the protocol and algorithms which suit for the network management ofsensor networks in the grid environment, carrying out the simulation experiments.This article identified the aim and content of the network management of sensornetworks in the grid environment, describing the technical model and architecture from the aspect of functional system, management interface frameworks and service mapping,suggesting the protocol process of grid application management sensors network equipmentand sensor network equipment invoking grid service, verifying the proposed architecture andprotocol processes through the simulation experiment that obtain sensor network topology bygrid application. It has some certain practical and theoretical significance to the developmentof sensor network management.
