Audit is a method of evidence collection and analysis of information in order to assess its financial health. As a hub to oversee the economic operation, the importance of the work of the audit is self-evident. Today, the country that established audit and supervision system in the world has nearly two hundred. With the rapid increase of Chinese economic and national strength, the audit work has become more and more important. However, in the traditional audit model, paper-based office, as well as information changes hysteresis generated a lot of questions, there are irregularities and waste of resources. For most of the artificial statistics, we need to repeated recognition in order to ensure the accuracy. With the rapid development of information technology, information construction in Chinese economic, political and cultural aspects of a number of significant achievements. How to use information technology to carry out audit work, improve work efficiency, reduce the difficulty of co-ordination between the various departments has become the focus of government departments at all levels to consider. The paper use the actual needs of the government audit department to audit project management as a starting point, first introduces the research background of the audit project management information system, and outlines the issues to be addressed, discussed the meaning and importance of the project, describes the system development methods, and a brief introduction to related technologies. Second, the paper gives the detailed demand analysis. In the system design process, the paper gives the system overall design and module design, and uses UML modeling technology of various model diagram to show the system. In database design, the paper use E-R diagram and database table structure to detailed design. Finally, the paper summarizes the contents of the study, explained my main work, the paper pointed out the shortcomings, and further work are discussed. This paper use the audit department’s actual needs as a starting point, applying software engineering methods as tools, applying practicality, ease of use, ease of inheritance, easy to expand as the basic principle, for the purpose of make the audit project management information system easy to extend and easy to use or provide basic data for decision making.
