Study On Discourse Change Of Network News Broadcast

Since the Reform and Opening-up in1978, the Chinese society changes constantly and at the same time the TV news media and news reports of the media in China are also undergoing subtle but highly progressive changes. Different historical background creates the different media environment. In order to adapt to the changing communication needs, the China’s TV news coverage means grow gradually in the practice to break the confinement of the traditional discourse and create anew discourse mode. Such a new discourse system has a powerful reverse construct force and influences the development process of the Chinese society.As the authority of TV news programs in China, the study on the discourse change of Network News Broadcast witnesses the representative significance. Firstly, this paper summarizes the development and change of the Chinese society and Network News Broadcast program, which serves as the important background to analyze later the detailed news texts. Then, the integration process of the discourse theory and the news study is introduced to set the theoretical foundation for this study. Secondly, with the News Discourse Theory of Van Dijk as the theoretical paradigm, the author selects three groups of fifteen typical news discourse samples to conduct the semantic macro-structure analysis, the macro-analysis, micro-analysis, style analysis and rhetorical analysis on the schema superstructure, and then to conclude three stages the discourse change of Network News Broadcast witnesses since the Reform and Opening-up:politics discourse—economics discourse—human-oriented discourse. Then, the internal and external forces promoting such a discourse change are explored to point out that changes in the ideology, the formation of the media market-oriented pattern, the journalistic professionalism consciousness, and the flourishing development of the citizen discourse right and the citizen journalism jointly procure the discourse transformation. Finally, influences the discourse change exerts on the socially reverse construction are reflected in following aspects such as to facilitate the media independence and homing; to help rebuilding and maintaining the civil order; and to promote the democratization etc.The highlight of this paper lies in adopting the news discourse analysis and combining the language analysis of the text and the social practices of the discourse to analyze and summarize completely the discourse change process of Network News Broadcast since the establishment.
