Design And Implementation Of Mobile Push Mail System Client

Nowadays, the development and popularization of Internet is contributed to the economic growth, especially the E-mail. Due to it can transfer text, audio, video and so many formats of files rapidly and conveniently, E-mail is used to a communication tool for all kinds of users. The third generation of communication technology,3G was arrived. Cellphone, PDA, smart terminal devices have great development, so people work are no long limited with time and place. And the mobile office is increasingly popular. If E-mail,3G, and mobile terminal were combined, users can communicate anytime and anywhere, which makes office and communication much more efficiently. Mobile terminals send and receive e-mail, which is a critical part of the entire e-mail system.In this thesis, we study the principle of push mail. Combining with the3G network, we design and develop the mobile terminal system that can push and receive E-mail based on Windows mobile platform. Firstly, we study reference technology of push mail on mobile terminal, introduce and compare several common ways of push mail. Finally, we select the efficient and secure STP to develop mail push system client. We research the WinCE hierarchical model, interface, storage and invocation mechanism, and WinSock model based on network programming technology. We research principle of the phone mail system and the network transmission control protocol and on the basis of design Windows Mobile application program, we propose C/S mode to push mail. In order to increase the stability of the system, improve efficiency of development and the portability of the system, we apply the hierarchical modular design idea.We design mobile push mail system client that has the basic functions of the common mailboxes, for example, send mail, receive mail, delete items, drafts, contacts, system configurations and user settings, and the detail design of the client part of the push system is described in the fifth sections.We develop the push mail system client with Visual Studio2005based on Windows Mobile6.0, and realize the mail client’s basic function. Furthermore, we test its function, stability, and compatibility; the results meet the original design requirements. We design and develop the phone mail push system client, which reduces the complexity of the mobile terminal device mail client, increases the stability of the mail system. For the further development of intelligent mobile terminal equipment of the E-mail client, it can provide reference, and the push mail system has some practical and market value.
