Light-emitting diode (LED) is a solid light-emitting device. Due to the advantages such as Green, luminous efficiency, long life, low power consumption and strong vibration resistance, it has been widely used in all aspects of daily life. Moreover, it has been treated as the4th generation illumination light source and tends to replace traditional light sources. Then it is very important and necessary to study and design LED driver circuit for the fact that all the advantages of the high-power LED are on the premise of owning a rational driver circuit.This paper begins with a brief introduction of the light-emitting characteristics, volt-ampere characteristics, driving research status and significance. For high power LED drive technology is commonly used to carry on the simple elaboration, introduced the switch power type LED driver technology, and power factor correction technology is analyzed in detail. The experimental simulation analysis was carried out on the first part of Boost PFC circuit, the simulation results shown well agreement with the theoretical analysis and verified the feasibility of the drive circuit.The transformer is adopted to design the DC/DC conversion circuit in the second part of the circuit. The stability of load driver is effectively guaranteed through precise analysis of the transformer. In addition, detailed analysis and design have been applied to the key components of the driver circuit such as inductance, the fly-wheel diode, power switch tube and so on. Scientific and rational components parameter design guaranteed the overall efficient stability of the drive circuit. The biggest innovation of this design is that the input current waveform can automatically follow the input voltage waveform changes, own the high power factor and can effectively reduce the harmonic pollution, can provide a sustainable and stable load output, and own high conversion efficiency.
