Since the1990s, Non-photorealistic rendering technology corresponding to the realisticrendering technology rapid development as an independent branch of graphics. And can use some kind of visual art effect of sceneinformation abstraction, ignore the minor details, depict the key part, and simplify the shapeof the object and highlights important information in the scene, can very good focuses on theinformation shown in the object; Can save a lot of time to complete the generation of artisticeffect and the creation of the animation. Non realistic applications in various fields, scienceand technology literature illustration, architecture design, animation games, as well as the finearts creation, etc., and play an important role.This article focuses on non-photorealistic rendering of one of the most basic problem,model of contour line is drawn and synthesis. In non realistic rendering of3d model, themodel of contour map plays an important role, a dotted line can be suggested that an invisibleobject, and outline sketch can stress or exercise. When we describe a geometric model ofoutline and shape, contour line is often used to sketch, for a3d model of the basic appearance,also by contour lines to show, the artists to express their design intent, by explicitly drawingcontour lines, a few pen contour lines can complete a description of the shape features of amodel, by omitting some non-critical local details, give prominence to the key information.Contour has played a very important role. Is proposed in this paper, using the GPU graphicshardware, a new kind of stroke and visibility test method, provides a more stylized optionsand to draw the model can be a very good deal with curve strokes. Using advancedprogrammable graphics pipeline technology, can support a contour line is stylized thevisibility and a wide range of options. The experimental results show that the computationspeed can satisfy the real-time requirements of interactive systems.
