Online Evaluation System Design And Implementation Of Fujian Normal University

Online evaluation system is to use the Internet or local area network (LAN) for atest of subject, it can not only get rid of the time and space limit of traditional test,people can take the test on any computer which connects to the internet server of thesystem；At the same time,it can also reduce the workload of teacher and shorten theproducing cycle of the traditional text, improving the transparency and fairness of thetext.Because online evaluation system has many advantages, there are more and morekinds of online evaluation (test) systems with different characteristics, and thegenerality is poor, so we will use our learned knowledge to design a suitable onlineevaluation system of our own,according to our actual work. Our system will use theJAVA Language and Software MyEclipse as development tools,which will becombined with advanced technology as the JSP programming, Struts framework andAjax technology. The SQL SERVER2005Database of high security will be used too.System development is based on the engineering software development model.Through the analysis of the demand, the implementation of the online evaluationsystem and each function module will be introduced in this paper.The overallarchitecture will be determined at the same time.By explaining and learning the keytechnologies of the implementation of system,we will complete the system design andthe database design, such as the integrating of the Struts framework and the usingof Ajax technologies in evaluation countdown.Finally by trying to operate and debugthe whole online evaluation system on the platform, we can check the actual effectof each function module very well.The completed system designed by us will be running in Fuqing branch of Fujiannormal university. Because most of schools are focused on basic knowledge testing ofstudent, in other words，that is the exam, so the online evaluation system is more orless like a online examination system. System uses the B/M/S Mode, and it is dividedinto foreground and background sections. The foreground section is mainly used forstudent registration, modification of personal information, log in of the online test, andcheck of the final grade; Background section is for administrators and teachers to log inand use the testing system, including adding and modification of the information of evaluation subjects, students taking exams, and evaluation content(such as sets ofexams).Considering to enhance the security and reliability of the network environmentof the online evaluation system, our system will use a three-tier structure developmentmode, which will be convenient for the system development in the future.
