In recent years, land environment has been destroyed, Marine resources have been paidmore and more attention on its development and utilization, which leads underwater sensornetwork’ development. Underwater acoustic modem and underwater acoustic communicationnetworks protocol are the numbers of underwater acoustic sensor networks. So far underwateracoustic communication network protocol has become the mainstream of underwater acousticcommunication networks research. Up to now, there is few real application of underwateracoustic communication networks protocol, and most studies still stay in the simulation stage.The paper mainly completes the simulation and realization of underwater acousticcommunication network protocol, the concrete content includes the following several aspects:1.The simulation of underwater acoustic ALOHA protocol and MACAW protocol isbased on MF frame in OMNeT++. Network protocol’s capability is analyzed from networkthroughput, channel utilization, end-to-end delay, and successful sending percent by changingpacket length, network load, and network scale. Finally, the comparison of the two protocolsis completed.2.The design and realization of underwater acoustic communication networks node’smanagement platform are based on ARM6410, which realizes modem’s autonomousmanagement and builds the underwater acoustic network. Functions of the managementplatform contain network communication with PC, internal network and serial portcommunication, communication data saving, node communication event-log records saving,node information setting and saving, etc.3.Underwater acoustic communication networks protocols including ALOHA protocoland MACAW protocol are realized by using exchanging node’s state. The experiments in thepool and the lake validate the protocols’ performance by testing data timing, point-to-pointdata circle communication, updating nodes’ routing table by using network communicationdata, node communication log records, etc. The achievement of file saving and log recordsmakes the analysis of protocols’ performance more convenient. The small-scale networkexperiment brings the completion of building network.
