With the development of wireless communication technology and the improvement ofpeople’s living standards, the city lighting play an increasingly significant role in promotinghuman development and urban modernization. As a SCADA system which is close topeople’s daily life, the current city lighting centralized control system mainly use the SMSmessages via the GSM network as a means of communication. However, the SMS messagesare subject to the forwarding mechanism of the transfer station in the mobile SMScommunication. When the control terminal receives a short message, it may be delayed, andtherefore delay the control response and bring risks to the system security. Therefore, how toestablish a real-time, accurate communication system of security without data clogging withthe help of state-of-the-art wireless communications network has became a hot research.With the combination of organic of the GSM network and mobile IP network by GPRSwireless communication technology, people can make use of high-speed, real-time datacommunication services in GPRS network. Meantime, with the rapid development ofembedded systems, its overall performance has become more reliable because of itsincreasing complexity and higher degree of integration of the chip. In many areas, Linux hasbeen widely used by virtue of its superior characteristics, such as an open source code andkernel, excellent network of high-performance and reliable operating system.Firstly, according to the development status of the current urban lighting monitoringsystem and the contrast with the wireless communication technology for SCADA system, weanalyze the transport security and clogging problem by the SMS messages communicationscheme which is widely used in the actual monitoring system. In addition, the needs of usersare also brought into consideration. In this regards, we put forward an embedded GPRSwireless communication system of security without clogging.Secondly, in this article, according to the blockage-free communication scheme and thedesign requirements of system security, this embedded hardware circuit is designed, whichincludes the minimum system circuit, the safety circuit, the communications interface circuitand so on, and choose the GTM900C whose e m the GPRS module is bedded TCP/IPprotocols. And the hardware circuit design has been completed based on power estimation andsecurity analysis. By porting of Linux on this hardware platform and in combination withuser’s demands, the applications of security without clogging communications have been putforward to design in organic combination with the GPRS/GSM and embedded Linux. Finally, by further analysis of the communication security issues in SCADA system, amixed encryption scheme based on the optimized RSA Algorithm and Rijndael Algorithm hasbeen put forward. This scheme is conducive to the security of the GPRS/SMS datacommunication and the promotion of the algorithm computing speed. In addition, it canimprove the security and suitability of the wireless communication. Besides, an overall testingprogram has been put forward to verify its embedded security and the GPRS wirelessno-clogging transmission performance. The experiment shows that the system can meetrequirements with its security and no-clogging communication performance.At the same time, the article gives a summary of our work, and brings forward a workingdirection for further research according to deficiencies of our design.
